| Trials are often required to characterise the performance of different navigation systems and technologies. Different trials can be designed to validate and verify the operation of existing systems or to allow us to make recommendations for future developments and the design of new systems. We have designed and run tracking system trials in the UK and around the world. We have experience of the capabilities and characteristics of GPS and land based systems in different, and often troublesome, environments. Parameters such as absolute accuracy, repeatability and position lag can all be measured and analysed to assess the suitability of a product or system for a particular application. We have developed software tools to assist with this type of trial.
